Don’t Let Erectile Dysfunction Ruin Your Valentine’s Day

Don’t Let Erectile Dysfunction Ruin Your Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day – romantic dinners, chocolates, flowers, and for many, a romp in the bedroom. If you or your partner has erectile dysfunction, however, that last item may not make it onto the list. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the medical term for impotence. If you do have symptoms of ED, we have other ways to make Valentine’s Day memorable (and we also offer treatments for ED).

What Is Erectile Dysfunction (ED)?

Erectile dysfunction can occasionally occur in any man’s life. Too little sleep, high stress levels, psychological problems or too much alcohol can all cause symptoms of ED. Chronic ED, however, is more likely to have a medical cause, such as spinal cord injury, diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease. Some medications may also cause ED. Whatever the reason, the primary problem is that the penis does not become engorged with blood, so it remains flaccid instead of becoming erect with sexual stimulation.

Get Creative and Romantic this Valentine’s Day

It’s important to recognize that ED need not prevent a romantic Valentine’s Day. All of the other activities associated with this holiday are still available. Even more important, do something that is very personal and important to your partner. Create a Valentine, write a poem, paint a picture or take your partner to some place that is significant to you both.

Is your partner the sort of person who would rather go camping or on some other kind of trip? Make sure you tell him/her how much you care and what makes them special to you. All of these activities make your significant other feel loved. Not to forget, there are also other ways to offer sexual satisfaction without intercourse. Be creative in the bedroom and know that making your partner happy and comfortable starts with open communication and an open mind.

ED Treatment

ED can be treated in many cases. The classic option is the “little blue pill.” Although there are several oral medicines for ED, these are not always the preferred method – as they are often associated with adverse side effects.

Typically, treatment depends on the cause. In the case of a temporary problem like too much alcohol, abstaining should solve things. Chronic stress or psychological difficulties may also be treated with

behavior modification or psychological counseling. If you have diabetes or heart disease and are obese, weight loss may improve both conditions and also make you feel better about your physical appearance.

Although less invasive treatments are always the first choice, sometimes surgery (penis implant) may seem like the only thing that will fit the bill. Penis implants come in two forms – an inflatable device and a rod that can be manipulated to create an erection. Although there have been many successes with surgery for erectile dysfunction, this is not always the most preferred choice for patients.

At Cure Men’s ED, we offer a solution that does not require the intervention of drugs or surgery. This means patient’s do not have to worry about adverse side effects and or invasive procedures with long recovery times. This is a completely natural solution to solve and cure erectile dysfunction.

Valentine’s Day is the day that is filled with images of chocolate, flowers, gifts, cards, romance…and for many, it also means a time of sexual intimacy with the love of their life. But for some couples, moments like this can be a source of great stress, especially if the man is suffering from Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and/or Premature Ejaculation (PE).

Many men who come to see me for hypnosis to help with these issues, say that the ost frustrating part is that they know there is often nothing physically wrong with them—it’s just all in their head. ED and PE are forms of performance anxiety, and can often be devastating to a relationship.

Erectile Dysfunction and Premature Ejaculation have multiple causes, both physical and psychological. They are frustrating conditions that can affect many men, and disturb not only Valentine’s Day, but most other days of the year too, in terms of their sexual partners and relationships. Occasional episodes of ED or PE are normal, but persistent symptoms often require treatment.

Whether your issue is physiological or psychological, hypnosis may be the answer to help put the “zing” back into your bedroom! When my clients learn to relax, go with the flow, and resist overthinking every issue, their ability to perform more successfully will increase.

  • Maintain a healthy diet – The functionality of our circulatory system is directly affected by what we eat. So even if your erectile dysfunction medication is permitted to be taken on an empty stomach, it may be more effective after eating a healthy and hearty meal. Similarly, if you take it after eating food that is high in fat (such as fried food) it may take longer to take effect. Eat well and you could see all the difference.
  • Take good care of your heart – Erectile dysfunction is closely linked with an individual’s blood circulation. To get the most out of your treatment, it’s crucial that you take care of your heart and blood vessels. You can do this by ensuring you exercise regularly and by avoiding smoking.
  • Plan and have patience – You’ll be met with disappointment if you expect instant results from any erectile dysfunction medication. You won’t get an erection immediately after taking a tablet. The time it takes to see the effects of the medication can differ per prescription and per individual. On average, Viagra takes about an hour, whereas Cialias needs half an hour to show any effects. It’s also important to remember that arousal is still required to achieve an erection. Medication is not there to replace sexual stimulation.
  • Drugs disclosure – If you are taking medication for any other health conditions, make sure you tell your doctor or pharmacist. The interaction of certain other medications could lessen the effects of your treatment, or it could lead to unwanted adverse effects. Make sure your doctor has all the facts.

In a very small amount of cases erectile dysfunction medication can lead to priapism – a painful erection that lasts for a period of more than four hours. When undertaking erectile dysfunction treatment, erections should disappear immediately after sex. If you experience priapism, seek medical attention straight away as prolonged erections can cause tissue damage and, in extreme cases, a permanent loss of potency.

The most important thing to remember is to only receive treatment from a doctor or pharmacist – with a prescription. Erectile dysfunction is a medical condition and should be treated as such, with the supervision of a medical professional.
