What Is A-Ret 0.05% Gel?
A-Ret 0.05% Gel contains the active ingredient Tretinoin, a carboxylic acid form of vitamin A, is a first generation topical retinoid. It is commonly used to treat acne and keratosis pilarisis (a harmless skin condition that causes rough, dry patches and tiny bumps, usually on the cheeks, upper arms, buttocks, and thighs). Tretinoin is on the WHO list of essential medicines, a list of the most important medicines required in a basic health system.
How Does A-Ret 0.05% Gel Work?
A-Ret 0.05% Gel is a form of vitamin A. When applied on scalp, it works by promoting the growth of hair follicles, thereby stimulating hair growth. When used on skin, it reduces oil production in the skin, replenishes acne-prone skin and helps keep your pores open.
What Is Route Of Administration?
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Drug To Drug Interaction
Concomitant topical medication, abrasive soaps and cleansers, cosmetics that have a strong drying effect and products with high concentration of astringents, alcohol, spices or lime should be used with caution because of the possible drug interaction with A-Ret 0.05% Gel. Particular caution should be taken while using preparations containing keratolytic agents such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or sulfur with Tretinoin.
While Tacking A-Ret 0.05% Gel
Do
Clean the area to be treated with water and a non-medicated soap, and let it dry for 20-30 minutes before applying A-Ret 0.05% Gel.
It may increase the severity of the lesions in the first few weeks of use. Continue using it as prescribed by your doctor.
It may cause stinging sensation or a feeling of warmth when you first start using it. Inform your doctor if this persists.
Avoid exposure to sunlight while using A-Ret 0.05% Gel as it increases the sensitivity of your skin. Use protective measures such as sun-cream or protective clothing.
Don’t
