Daclatasvir was discovered as a first-in-class inhibitor of the non-structural viral protein 5A (NS5A), a phosphoprotein that plays an important role in hepatitis C replication. The exact mechanism by which daclatasvir inhibits the NS5A replication complex is unclear, but it is believed that daclatasvir inhibits viral RNA replication and virion assembly.

Natdac 60mg How To Take
Natdac 60mg Tablet is an antiviral medication. It works by lowering a load of hepatitis C virus in the body and removing the virus from the blood over a period of time.
Mechanism Action Of Natdac 60mg
Natdac tablets 60mg contain daclatasvir, a direct-acting antiviral agent that is used to treat chronic HCV infection, in combination with sofosbuvir another antiviral medication1. Daclatasvir in Natdac 60 inhibits the viral specific NS5A protein, which has no enzymatic activity but is essential for HCV RNA replication and post-replication assembly of the virus particle (virion).
It is highly effective at very low doses. Sofosbuvir that is used in combination with Natdac 60 targets a different stage in the viral replication cycle. It is a direct-acting nucleotide analogue inhibitor that blocks the action of the HCV NS5B polymerase, an enzyme that is essential to viral replication, by being incorporated into HCV RNA by the action of NS5B polymerase, which causes chain termination of viral RNA synthesis thereby inhibiting viral replication.
Daclatasvir in Natdac 60 works together with sofosbuvir to lower the amount of hepatitis C virus in the blood and may also lead to a cure of HCV infection over a number of weeks. Ribavirin is a synthetic ribonucleic analogue and is incorporated into viral RNA blocking RNA synthesis; however, it does not have any antiviral activity when used alone. This antiviral drug is used in triple combination therapy with daclatasvir in Natdac 60 and sofosbuvir in those with liver cirrhosis.
