What Is Faceclin Gel?
Faceclin Gel decreases the formation of blackheads, heals pimples and helps rejuvenate the skin. It belongs to the retinoid class of drugs. Composed of Adapalene and Clindamycin, Faceclin Gel works by reducing skin inflammation and swelling. You need to be careful if you are allergic to Vitamin A or other retinoid drugs like isotretinoin.
How Does Faceclin Gel Work?
Faceclin Gel is a combination of two medicines: Clindamycin and Nicotinamide, which treats pimples (acne). Clindamycin is an antibiotic which works by penetrating into the skin and killing acne-causing bacteria. Nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B. It exerts anti-inflammatory effects when applied to the skin and reduces swelling, redness and tenderness associated with acne.
What Is Route Of Administration?
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Your doctor may suggest an appropriate time-gap between usage of this medicine and other topical products to avoid their interaction. Alternatively, replacement with a suitable medicine may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.
Asthma : This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from asthma due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Report any unusual symptoms or worsening of condition to the doctor immediately. Appropriate corrective measures and/or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.
Changed skin tone : Frequent use of this medicine may alter the skin tone in and around the area of application. This change is particularly visible in dark-skinned people.
Use in children : This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Pregnancy : This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine.
Breast-feeding : This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine. If the medicine is used, care should be taken such that the infant does not come into contact with the medicine. Also, the infant should be monitored closely for any undesired side effects.
Photosensitivity : This medicine may make you more sensitive to sunlight or tanning lights. You are advised to use sunscreen and wear protective clothing to avoid adverse reactions to sunlight during treatment with this medicine.
