How Does Falcigo Plus Work?
Falcigo Plus Tablet is a combination of two antiparasitic medicines: Artesunate and Mefloquine, which treats malaria. These medicines work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading.
What Is Route Of Administration?
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Falcigo Plus Tablet is to be taken with food.

Drug To Drug Interaction
Mefloquine = Report the use of mefloquine or any other anti-malarial medicine to the doctor before receiving Falcigo Plus Injection. You may require a dose adjustment and more frequent monitoring when using these medicines together.
Pyrimethamine = Report the use of either of the medicine to the doctor. You may require a dose adjustment and more frequent monitoring while using these medicines together.
While Tacking Falcigo Plus
Do
You have been prescribed Falcigo Plus Tablet for the treatment of acute uncomplicated malaria that is resistant to other antimalarial medications such as chloroquine.
Finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
It should be taken with food or drinks rich in fat such as milk.
It may cause fatigue and dizziness. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration.
If you vomit within 1 hour of taking the tablets, take another dose.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver or heart disease.
Don’t
Pregnancy = Falcigo Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation = Falcigo Plus Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving = Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Falcigo Plus Tablet can cause dizziness, loss of balance and mental problems and this may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney = There is limited information available on the use of Falcigo Plus Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
Liver = Falcigo Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Falcigo Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Falcigo Plus Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
