Fesirol Powder 3g Description
Fosirol Powder 3g is an anti-infective. It is usually given to women to treat uncomplicated bacterial infections in the urinary tract area. It functions by killing the bacteria. It is available as a single dose oral powder sachet.
On using this medication you may experience side effects such as nausea, vaginitis, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, dyspepsia, asthenia, stomach pain, pain during intercourse, indigestion, heartburn, weakness, skin rash, back pain, throat soreness, swelling, heavy bleeding and vaginal white discharge with little or no odor. If you face any adverse reactions seek the help of your health care provider immediately.

How does medicine works?
Fosirol Powder is an analogue of phosphoenolpyruvate enzyme which acts as a broad-spectrum antibiotic by irreversibly inhibiting enolpyruvate transferase enzyme. This prevents the formation of an essential component of the bacterial cell wall N-acetylmuramic acid, destroying the cell wall and killing the bacteria.

These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Warnings
Pregnancy – Fosirol Powder is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Kidney – Fosirol Powder should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Fosirol Powder may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Fosirol Powder is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Preacaution
Fosirol Powder is used to treat and prevent bacterial infections of the urinary tract.
Dissolve it in a glass of water and drink immediately, preferably at bedtime, 2 hours after meals (after emptying the bladder).
Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks, and drink plenty of water while taking Fosirol Powder.
Diarrhea is a common side effect. Inform your doctor if it does not get better or if you see blood in stools.
Fosirol Powder may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don’t drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
Storage of Fosirol Powder
Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
