Isopil 20mg Tablet is a naturally occurring derivative of vitamin A and is used for the treatment of severe acne (nodular) non-responsive to other therapies.

What is Isopil 20mg ?

Isopil 20 mg Tablet belongs to a category of chemical compounds called retinoid. This medication helps in the treatment of cystic acne or nodular acne that has previously not responded to any other kinds of treatment. It lowers the production of facial oil and prevents hardening of the skin. If acne is not properly treated it can cause permanent scarring.

How To Use Isopil Tablet

Swallow capsules whole. Do not crush or chew them. Isotretinoin is usually taken twice daily for 15-20 weeks, or as directed by your doctor. Directions for most generic forms of isotretinoin state that it should be taken with meals. However, the FDA has indicated that the Absorica brand may be taken with or without food. Food helps increase absorption of this drug into your bloodstream. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information. Take this drug with a full glass of water, and do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking it.

Take it with or after food.

Avoid exposure to sunlight while using Isopil 20 Tablet. Use protective measures such as sun-cream or protective clothing.

It may cause dryness of mouth, lips, and eyes. Drink plenty of water, use moisturiser and avoid wearing contact lenses. Inform your doctor if it bothers you.

Don’t drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how Isopil 20 Tablet affects you.

Your doctor may get regular blood tests to track lipid levels, liver function, and cell count in your blood.
