It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is a important component of fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P-450 dependent enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase responsible for the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism.

Drug To Drug Interaction

Applying an excessive amount may result in pilling. Use a thinner layer or lesser quantity of medicine to avoid pilling.

Breast-feeding = Ketocip Shampoo is not recommended for use during breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Liver injury = Ketocip Shampoo can cause severe liver injury when high doses are used. Any known incidence of liver disease should be reported to the doctor. Dosage adjustments and safety monitoring might be required in such cases.

QT prolongation = Ketocip Shampoo may increase the QT prolongation. This risk is more if coadministered with other medicines that can cause QT prolongation. Close monitoring of heart function is necessary.
