What Is Mederma Gel?
Mederma Gel is a scar gel which is prescribed to patients who have scarring on their skin. By effectively reducing the scars from within, Mederma Gel induces the skin healing process. The gel treats the redness or any itching that is often experienced with scars. It also inhibits scar tissue formation. Though adverse reactions are not generally associated with this gel, patients should consult doctors in case of allergic reactions.
How Does Mederma Gel Work?
Heparin is an anticoagulant. It works by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots. Although it does not dissolve the existing blood clots, it prevents them from growing larger and causing blockages in the blood vessels.
