Drug To Drug Interaction

Cisapride = Use of Nizral Cream while you are taking Cisapride is not recommended. Inform your doctor about the usage of Cisapride so that suitable replacement for Nizral Cream could be prescribed.
Clopidogrel = Inform your doctor about the usage of either of these medicines. Dosage adjustments for Clopidogrel might be required in such cases.
Erythromycin = Usage of Nizral Cream along with Erythromycin is not recommended. Inform your doctor about the usage of either of these medicines. Your doctor might prescribe alternative medicines where the risks of side effects are minimal. Immediate medical attention might be required if you feel dizzy, have shortness of breath and feel discomfort in the chest.

Breast-feeding = Nizral Cream is not recommended for use during breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Consult your doctor about the potential benefits and risks before deciding to take this medicine. Do not breastfeed for at least 5 hours after the dose to reduce the risk of exposure.
Liver injury = Nizral Cream can cause severe liver injury when high doses are used. Any known incidence of liver disease should be reported to the doctor. Dosage adjustments and safety monitoring might be required in such cases.
QT prolongation = Nizral Cream may increase the QT prolongation. This risk is more if coadministered with other medicines that can cause QT prolongation. Close monitoring of heart function is necessary.
Kidney disease = Nizral Cream may decrease the adrenal corticosteroid secretion when high doses are used. The recommended dose should not exceed 400 mg. Close monitoring of adrenal function is necessary.

Nizral Cream is used to treat skin infections such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm, and certain kinds of dandruff. This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes a lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs. Ketoconazole is an azole antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.
Storage Of Nizral Cream
Keep the product out of the reach and sight of children. Do not store above 25ºC. Do not use this product after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
