Under no circumstances should patients apply this topical gel to broken skin.
Seek immediate emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms to watch for, which may be indicative of a reaction, include skin rashes, hives, swelling of the face or limbs, trouble breathing, and trouble swallowing.

Breast-feeding : It is unknown whether this medicine is excreted through the breastmilk. It is recommended in breastfeeding women only if necessary. Avoid direct contact of this medicine with the baby.
Skin peeling : Persol Gel 5% may cause skin irritation initially when applied and characterized by peeling of the skin. This effect is not harmful and will be subsided within in 1 or 2 days when the treatment is stopped.
