Being a cholinesterase inhibitor, it functions by increasing the amount of acetylcholine that may help to reduce the symptoms of dementia such as changes in personality and impairment in thinking.

Memory loss in Alzheimer’s disease occurs due to disturbances of signal transmission in the brain. Rivamer 1.5mg Capsule is a cholinesterase inhibitor. It works by increasing the levels of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) involved in transmmission of nerve signals. This improves memory and thinking.
What Is Route Of Administration?

Apply one patch per day by pressing it firmly in place for at least 30 seconds to only one of the following locations, left upper arm or right upper arm, left upper chest or right upper chest by avoiding breast, left upper back or right upper back, left lower back or right lower back.

Don’t
Alcohol = It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Rivamer 1.5mg Capsule. Taking Rivastigmine with alcohol can make you feel sleepy.
Pregnancy = Rivamer 1.5mg Capsule is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation = Rivamer 1.5mg Capsule is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving = Rivamer 1.5mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney = Rivamer 1.5mg Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Rivamer 1.5mg Capsule is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease as close monitoring is advised while you are taking this medicine.
