Description
Susten 200 MG Capsule is obtained from plant sources and has a similar action to the female hormone, progesterone. It is used to correct menstrual disorders caused due to a deficiency of this hormone in the body. It is also used as a component in hormone replacement therapy and for maintenance of early pregnancy under specific circumstances.
How does medicine works?
Susten 200 MG Capsule belongs to a class known as progestins and makes up for the lack of naturally produced progesterone in women of childbearing age. It also decreases the amount of estrogen produced in the uterus.
How to Take Susten 200?
When advised to take Susten 200 orally swallow this capsule as a whole. Remember never to chew, crush or break the Susten 200 capsule when taking it. Always remember to take this Susten 200 capsule with food.

General Instructions
Take Susten 200 MG Capsule as prescribed by the doctor. Follow all dosing instruction mentioned on the label. It is advised to take this medicine at bedtime with sufficient quantity of water. Do not take this medicine for durations shorter or longer than recommended by your doctor. You are advised to regularly examine your breasts for the presence of lumps while using this medicine.

warnings
Dizziness – Use of this medicine can cause dizziness and impair the ability to perform tasks requiring cognition and alertness. Caution is advised while driving or performing other tasks that demand a high level of mental alertness. You are advised to take the medicine at recommended times to avoid any such effect.
Breast cancer – Use of this medicine in conjugation with estradiol for hormone replacement therapy has been associated with instances of breast cancer and hence caution is advised. This medicine should be given with extreme caution to patients with a previous or active case of breast cancer.
Blood clotting disorders – Use of this medicine is not recommended for patients having a clotting disorder. It is advised to undergo a test to confirm if the medicine can be safely used. Report any instance of such disease to the doctor.
Bleeding disorders – Use of this medicine is not recommended if you have severe undiagnosed vaginal bleeding.
Preacaution
If you use other medicines or OTC (over the counter) products at the same time, the effects of Susten 200 may change. This may increase your risk for side effects or cause your medicine not to work properly. Tell your gynecologist about all the medicines, herbal supplements, and vitamins you are using, so that your physician can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Susten 200 may interact with the following drugs and products:
