What Is Syncapone 150?
Syncapone 150 Tablet is an amino acid that is produced and used as a part of the normal biology of human beings, also in some animals and plants. Syncapone 150 Tablet crosses the protective blood–brain barrier as dopamine cannot. Thus, Syncapone 150 Tablet is used to increase the dopamine concentrations in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and dopamine-responsive dystonia.
How Does Syncapone 150 Work?
Syncapone 150 Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Levodopa, Carbidopa and Entacapone which treat Parkinsonism.Levodopa is a Carbidopa precursor which gets converted to dopamine, a chemical messenger that controls movement in the brain. Carbidopa is a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor which prevents the breakdown of Levodopa allowing it to enter the brain and increase dopamine levels.
What Is Route Of Administration?
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Syncapone 150 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Driving or Operating Machinery = Syncapone 150 should be used with caution due to the increased risk of side effects such as dizziness, fainting, drowsiness, etc. This may cause you to fall asleep during your day-to-day activities. Hence, it is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery while taking this medicine.
Use in Children = Syncapone 150 is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
Liver Diseases = Syncapone 150 should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.
