Terbicip Spray decreases ergosterol production by disrupting the activity of cytochrome P450, inhibiting the formation of the cell membrane of susceptible fungi like Candida and Micosporum.
What Is Route Of Administration?
Use this medication on the skin only. Clean and thoroughly dry the area to be treated. Apply this medication to the affected skin, usually twice a day or as directed on the product package or by your doctor. Dosage and length of treatment depends on the type of infection being treated.
Some forms of tolnaftate (e.g., powder) need to be shaken before applying. Check your product package to see if your form of this medication needs to be shaken. Apply enough medication to cover the affected area and some of the surrounding skin. After applying this medication, wash your hands. Do not wrap, cover, or bandage the area unless directed to do so by your doctor.
Do not apply this medication in the eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina.

Apply an amount sufficient to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin.
It can make your skin more sensitive to sun. Use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors.
Avoid getting in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
Inform your doctor if the infection has not cleared up after four weeks of treatment.

Breast-feeding = Terbicip Spray should not be used by breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Care should be taken while using this medicine to ensure that ingestion and direct contact with the medicine by the infant are avoided.
Liver function = Terbicip Spray should not be used if the patient has a chronic or active disease of the liver. It is advised to monitor the liver function on a periodic basis while taking this medicine. Any sign or symptom indicative of a deteriorating liver function should be reported to the doctor on priority.
Allergic skin reaction = Terbicip Spray can cause severe allergic reactions of the skin and hence caution is advised while use. Any sign of an allergic skin reaction after taking this medicine should be reported to the doctor immediately.
Blood cell count = Terbicip Spray is known to lower the count of certain specific blood cells. It should be used with caution in patients who have a decreased blood cell count.
