It stops the production of certain chemicals necessary for the fungal growth that disrupts its cell membrane. Zole Ointment treats fungal infections by preventing the fungal growth.
How Does Zole Ointment Work?
Zole Ointment is an antifungal. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450 14-alpha-demethylase enzyme, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism.
