Danogen 50mg Capsule is used to treat endometriosis, fibrocystic breast disease, and heriditery angioedema. It is not recommended for use in the elderly population and children.

Danogen 50mg Capsule is a synthetic steroid. It is used to treat fibrocystic breast disease. It also prevents hereditary angioedema in both men and women. This medication functions by decreasing the hormone levels, decreasing the disease’s severity.

Danogen 50Mg Capsule acts as an androgen (male sex hormone like testosterone) used for the treatment of fibrocystic breast disease and endometriosis. Danogen 50mg Capsule works by reducing the amount of hormones produced by the ovary. It acts as an inhibitor of gonadotropin secretion in men by decreasing testosterone levels.

How to take

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Danogen 50mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warnings

Liver function

Danogen 50mg Capsule may cause elevations in the levels of liver enzymes. It is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver dysfunction. Caution is advised while using this medicine in patients with mild to moderate liver impairment. Appropriate dose adjustments may be required based on the clinical condition.

Blood sugar levels

Danogen 50mg Capsule may cause changes in blood sugar levels. This risk is especially higher in patients with diabetes mellitus. Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is recommended while using this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments may be required based on the clinical condition.

Porphyria

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with porphyria due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.

Precaution
