What Is Entacom 200mg?

This is an amino acid that is produced and used as a part of the normal biology of human beings, also in some animals and plants. This crosses the protective blood–brain barrier as dopamine cannot. This is used to increase the dopamine concentrations in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and dopamine-responsive dystonia.

This works by increasing the amount of dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control movements in the brain.

Do

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

Are allergic to Entacapone or antipsychotic medicines or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

Have a tumour of the adrenal gland (known as pheochromocytoma; this may increase the risk of severe high blood pressure)

Have liver disease

Have ever suffered from a rare muscle disorder called rhabdomyolysis which was not caused by injury

Have ever had a heart attack or any other diseases of the heart

Have low blood pressure when rising from a chair or bed

Experience prolonged diarrhoea as it may be a sign of inflammation of the colon

Don’t

Do not use Entacom during pregnancy or if you are breast-feeding

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine

Experience with Entacom in patients under 18 years is limited. Therefore, the use of this medicine in children or adolescents cannot be recommended

Entacom make you feel dizzy, drowsy and light-headed or cause you to sometimes suddenly fall asleep

Do not drive or operate machinery until these effects have worn off
