It also effectively treats head lice, scabies and river blindness. Ivecop 6mg Tablet works in the body by killing the developing worms and not the adult ones.

Ivecop 6 mg Tablet is an antiparasitic medication. It works by binding to the muscle and nerve cells of worms, causing their paralysis and death. This treats your infection.

Drug To Drug Interaction
Many other drugs can interact with Ivermectin. Let your doctor know in advance if you use any of the following drugs: a blood thinner like Warfarin or Clopidogrel, Alfentanil, Cyclophosphamide, prednisone Saquinavir, Sirolimus, Tacrolimus, Theophylline, Voriconazole, Antidepressants, Cancer Medicines, cholesterol lowering medicines, heart or blood pressure medicines, Rifabutin, or seizure medicines.
However, these are not the only medicines that can interact with Ivermectin. There may be others as well. Inform your doctor about all other medicines and related products which you may be using. Never start a new medication without consulting your doctor first.

Pregnancy = Ivecop 6 mg is not recommended for pregnant women unless necessary. The risk and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before receiving this medicine.
Breast-feeding = Ivecop 6 mg is known to excreted in breastmilk. It is not recommended in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Avoid direct contact of this medicine with the baby.
Mazzotti reaction = Patients being treated with Ivecop 6 mg Tablet for onchocerciasis may experience mazzotti reaction which are cutaneous and systemic adverse effect. These patients should be monitored closely. Supportive care should be initiated based on the severity.
Pretreatment assessment for Loa loa infection = Patients with significant exposure to endemic areas and being treated with Ivecop 6 mg Tablet for onchocerciasis may have an increase in the risk of fatal encephalopathy. The symptoms include neck pain, red eye, urinary and fecal incontinence, mental status changes, seizures, or coma. Therefore, pretreatment assessment for loiasis is necessary.
Pediatric use = Ivecop 6 mg is not recommended for children with body weight less than 15 kg.
