What Is Zole Ointment?
This is a broad spectrum antifungal that useful in the treatment of dermatological conditions and fungal infections including ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, vaginal yeast infection etc. It is also helpful in curing pityriasis, which alters the pigmentation of the skin. It stops the production of certain chemicals necessary for the fungal growth that disrupts its cell membrane. This treats fungal infections by preventing the fungal growth.
How Does Zole Ointment Work?
This is an antifungal. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450 14-alpha-demethylase enzyme, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism.

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
