What Is Donep 10mg?

This Tablet, a cholinesterase inhibitor, is used to treat a brain disorder that affects the ability to remember, communicate, think clearly, and perform daily activities and may cause changes in mood and personality in people who have Alzheimer’s disease. It improves mental function by increasing the amount of certain chemicals in the brain. However, it does not cure Alzheimer’s disease completely.

How Does Donep 10mg Work?

Memory loss in Alzheimer’s disease occurs due to disturbances of signal transmission in the brain. This Tablet is a cholinesterase inhibitor. It works by increasing the levels of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) involved in transmmission of nerve signals. This improves memory and thinking.

What Is Route Of Administration?

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. This Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

It does not cure Alzheimer’s but may help with brain function and doing daily activities.

Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.

It may cause diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. Drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated while taking Tablet.

Monitor your body weight regularly as both Tablet and Alzheimer’s disease can cause weight loss.

Pregnancy = This is not recommended for pregnant women unless necessary. The risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

Breast-feeding = It is not known whether is excreted in breast milk. It is not recommended in breastfeeding women unless necessary. The risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

Gastrointestinal bleeding = This is known to increase the gastric acid secretion and may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Inform the doctor if you have any symptoms of blood in stools and burning stomach. An alternate medicine should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Seizures = This is known to cause generalized convulsions. Any symptoms of seizures should be informed to the doctor.

Pediatric use = The safety and efficacy have not been established in patients younger than 18 years.
