What Is Melalong Cream?

Melalong Cream is a topical drug used in many dermatological diseases. Melalong Cream has Tretinoin and Hydroquinone as active ingredients. Melalong Cream is used in the treatment of melasma, acne, skin lightening and treating dark patches of the skin. Melalong Cream can be also used in treating age spots and wrinkles.

How Does Melalong Cream Work?

Melalong Cream works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase; increasing the turnover of follicular epithelial cells.

What Is Route Of Administration?

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

You should avoid using Melalong Cream in large quantities as this may lead to excessive peeling of the skin.

Avoid getting this cream into your eyes, nostrils, mouth or any other areas of skin that is broken or injured to avoid their irritation. If the cream reaches any of the previous areas wash it properly with water until you are sure no cream is left behind.

Patients with eczematous skin

Do not take by mouth. Consult with your doctor before using this medicine on open wounds, dry, chapped, irritated, or sun-burned skin.

Wash your hands before and after applying Melalong Cream. Clean and dry the skin area to be treated.

Do not wash the treated area after immediately applying Melalong Cream. Also avoid the use of other products on the treated area unless directed by your doctor.

Applying an excessive amount may result in pilling. Use a thinner layer or lesser quantity of medicine to avoid pilling.

Avoid getting this medication in your eyes or nose or mouth.

Storage 

Store medicines at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
