Increased pressure around the brain

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having an increased pressure around the brain due to a disease or trauma. Your doctor may determine the best course of treatment in such cases.

Psychiatric disorders

Use of this medicine may worsen the symptoms of psychiatric disorders. It should be used with caution by patients suffering from mood changes, anxiety, agitation, depression etc.

Osteoporosis

Use of this medicine may cause a reduction in bone density and hence should be used with caution in patients suffering from osteoporosis or other disorders affecting bone density.

Warning of Tretiva 40mg Capsule

Pregnancy – Use of this medicine by women are pregnant or suspecting a pregnancy is not recommended. It is advised to take extra precautionary measures and avoid intended/unintended pregnancy while using this medicine.

Breast-feeding – Use of this medicine by women who are breastfeeding is not recommended. Your doctor may prescribe suitable alternatives after assessing your condition.

Exposure to sun – Use of this medicine can cause adverse reactions of the skin on sun exposure. You should either avoid stepping out at daytime or take appropriate precautionary measures.
