What Is Mycospor Cream?

This is available in the form of an ointment for topical application. It is primarily used to treat athlete’s foot. Do not apply on sensitive skin, especially the vaginal areas. The cream should be applied thinly on to the affected area once a day, preferably at night, before you go to bed.

This treatment must be continued for at least two to three weeks. Make sure that you wash and clean the area properly before applying the ointment on it. Consult a doctor or a pharmacist immediately if the symptoms do not appear to be reducing even after a week of application.

How Does Mycospor Cream Work?

This is an antifungal substance that inhibits the production of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membrane. It also destabilizes the fungal Cytochrome p450 51 enzyme, another vital component of fungal cell membrane. These cause fungal cell death.

What Is Route Of Administration?

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
