What Is Pangraf 0.25mg?

This Capsule belongs to a group of medicines which are known as immunosuppressants. Thus, the drugs effectively weakens the immune system in order to make it easier for the body to adjust itself with the new organ that has been transplanted. The transplanted organ may be a heart, kidney or even liver.

How Does Pangraf 0.25mg Work?

This Capsule is an immunosuppressant. It works by suppressing your body’s immune response following transplant of an organ (eg. liver, kidney, heart). This helps your body to accept the new organ as if it were your own.

What Is Route Of Administration?

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. This Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Drug To Drug Interaction

Amlodipine : The effect of Pangraf 0.25mg Capsule may increase if taken with antihypertensives like amlodipine. Inform the doctor if you have any symptoms of diarrhea, headache, and weakness. Dose adjustments or an alternate class of antihypertensives should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Carbamazepine : The effect of Pangraf 0.25mg Capsule may increase if taken with carbamazepine. Dose adjustments or an alternate class of medicines should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Live vaccines : You may be at the risk of developing infections if these medicines are taken together. Inform the doctor if you had received either of these medicines. Your doctor may postpone therapy based on the condition.

While Tacking Pangraf 0.25mg

Do

This is used to prevent organ rejection in transplant patients.

It may take 3 to 4 months for the medication to work. Keep taking it as prescribed.

Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to check the levels of blood cells in your blood. Inform your doctor if you experience unexplained bruising or bleeding, sore throat, mouth ulcers, fever, or general illness.

Your doctor may monitor your kidney function regularly. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day to help with your kidney function.

Do not stop taking this tablet without talking to your doctor first.

Don’t

Serious infections : The chances of occurring infections are more in the patients receiving this medicine. Hold the treatment and start with the broad-spectrum antibiotics if there are any signs and symptoms of fever. Close monitoring of the body temperature and the blood cell count is necessary.

Liver impairment : This is not recommended in the patients with a history of liver impairment. The concentration of this medicine may increase in these patients. The baseline of the liver function tests should be obtained before starting the treatment.

Kidney impairment : This is not recommended in the patients with a history kidney impairment. Close monitoring of kidney function is necessary. The dose should be adjusted based on the creatine clearance (CrCl).

This is used to Prevention of organ rejection in transplant patients.

Storage Of Pangraf 0.25mg

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Take the hard capsules immediately following removal from the blister. Do not use Tacrolimus after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and blister after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
