This Everolimus Tablet is used in adults men to treat or control cancer that spread other parts of body. Everolimus Tablet is normally recommended with another solution called prednisone or prednisolone to bring down odds of getting hypertension, liquid maintenance, or having decreased levels of a synthetic (potassium) in blood.

Rapact manufactured by Natco, is a generic version of the drug Everolimus. It comes in pack of 28 tablets. Rapact is a prescription oncology medicine that can be purchased by a patient only against a valid prescription of a healthcare professional. How To Work

This tablet suppresses the activity of body’s immune system and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ.

What Is It

It Tablet is included in a class of medications called kinase inhibitors that treats cancer by stopping cancer cells from reproducing and cutting off blood supply to the cancer cells. Rapact 5mg Tablet decreases the action of the immune system. This may result in increased risk of developing infection or certain types of cancer such as lymphoma, skin cancer, etc.

Rapact 5mg Tablet is used for the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (after all other treatments have failed), a certain type of advanced breast cancer(after unsuccessful treatment using other medications), a certain type of cancer of the pancreas that has spread too much and cannot be treated with surgery, kidney tumours in people with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC; a genetic condition that causes tumours to grow in multiple organs) and subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (SEGA; a type of brain tumour) in adults and children 1 year of age and older who have TSC.

Rapact 5mg Tablet is used with other medications to prevent transplant rejection in certain adults who have received kidney transplants. Rapact 5mg Tablet may increase the risk of developing a blood clot that may cause you to lose the transplanted kidney and of kidney damage, especially when this Tablet is used along with certain doses of cyclosporine (also used to suppress the immune system).

How To Take

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. that Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Drug Interactions

Some products that may interact with this drug include: other drugs that weaken the immune system/increase the risk of infection (such as natalizumab, rituximab), ACE inhibitors (such as captopril, lisinopril).

Other medications can affect the removal of everolimus from your body, which may affect how everolimus works. Examples include :

  • azole antifungals (such as itraconazole, ketoconazole),
  • boceprevir,
  • cobicistat,
  • macrolide antibiotics (such as clarithromycin, erythromycin),
  • HIV protease inhibitors (such as atazanavir, ritonavir),
  • rifamycins (such as rifabutin, rifampin),
  • telaprevir, telithromycin, among others.

Warning

This Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Rapact 5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. As fatigue is a common side effect with Rapact 5mg Tablet and this may affect your ability to drive.

Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.

This Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Rapact 5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Rapact 5 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

This Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Rapact 5 mg Tablet is recommended.

Rapact 5mg Precaution

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: previous cancer treatments (including radiation therapy to the chest), heart disease, high blood pressure, previous severe reaction to monoclonal antibody treatment.

Perjeta can make you more likely to get infections or may worsen any current infection. Avoid contact with people who have infections that may spread to others (such as chickenpox, measles, flu). Consult your doctor if you have been exposed to an infection or for more details.

Do not have immunizations/vaccinations without the consent of your doctor. Avoid contact with people who have recently received live vaccines (such as flu vaccine inhaled through the nose).

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. You should not become pregnant while using Pertuzumab. This medication may harm an unborn baby.

It is unknown if this medication passes into breast milk. Because of the possible risk to the infant, breast-feeding is not recommended while using this drug or for 7 months after the last dose. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Store at room temperature of 25°C (77°F); excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Protect from light; protect from moisture.
