Tretin 0.05% Cream is a form of vitamin A. When applied on scalp, it works by promoting the growth of hair follicles, thereby stimulating hair growth. When used on skin, it reduces oil production in the skin, replenishes acne-prone skin and helps keep your pores open.

Tretin 0.05% Cream may make you more sensitive to the sun. Limit your time in the sun. Avoid tanning booths and sunlamps. Weather extremes such as wind or cold may also be irritating to the skin. Use sunscreen daily and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Tell your doctor right away if you get sunburned or have skin blisters/redness. Wait until your skin has completely recovered from a sunburn before using tretinoin.
Don’t
Pregnancy: Use of Tretin Cream by pregnant women is not recommended. Use appropriate contraception and avoid getting pregnant while using this medicine. Contact your doctor and discuss the risks if a pregnancy is suspected.
Breast-feeding: Tretin is not recommended for use by women who are breastfeeding. It can be used if the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved with use. You should not breastfeed while the topical form of this medicine is applied.
Exposure to sun: Use of Tretin 0.05% Cream can cause adverse reactions of the skin on sun exposure. You should either avoid stepping out at daytime or take appropriate precautionary measures.
