How Does Vermact 6 mg Work?

Vermact 6mg belongs to the class of drugs called anthelmintics. This drug acts by binding to certain receptors on the nerve and muscle cells of the parasite. Then, the drug paralyses and kills the parasite gradually. It also acts by suppressing the growth of adult parasite and reduces its transmission.

Oxcarbazepine = Inform the doctor if you are receiving oxcarbazepine, carbamazepine as these medicines decrease the effect of Vermact 12mg Tablet. Any symptoms of the increase in the severity of infection should be reported to the doctor. The dose adjustments or an alternate medicine should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Warfarin = These medicines should be used with caution due to increase in the risk of bleeding. Any symptoms of unusual bleeding, blood in stools and vomiting, dizziness should be reported to the doctor. The dose adjustments or an alternate medicine should be considered based on the clinical condition.

Do

Vermact 6mg lotion should not be used for children under 6 months of age.

Vermact 6mg should be taken empty stomach with water.

Vermact 6mg tablets should not be given to children under 5 years of age and weight under 15 kg.

Do not take/apply Vermact 6 mg and consult your doctor if you are sensitive to Vermact 6 mg or any other ingredient to tablet/cream/lotion; or if you have concurrent loa loa infection; suffering from brain problems, bleeding disorder, or asthma.
